Research interests

I am a behavioural neuroscientist interested in the neural circuits underlying maladaptive behaviours related to fear and anxiety disorders. I am experienced at using circuit-based viral tracing and functional interrogation methods to understand how molecularly and hodologically defined neural populations contribute to the selection of appropriate defensive behaviours. Currently, I am using this expertise to examine how corticostriatal circuits contribute to compulsive behaviours.
